Free and Low-Cost Therapy

I am excited to offer individual, couple, and family therapy sessions as a marriage and family therapist trainee through Daybreak's Child, Couple, and Family Therapy Center. I work under the supervision of licensed therapist and Assistant Clinical Director Dr. Nichole Hydaryacil, PsyD, who has been serving clients for fifteen years.

Marriage and family therapists generally work with individuals just as often as couples and families, but even with individuals, we consider how relationships, culture, spirituality, work, and childhood experiences shape who we are and how we respond to the circumstances we encounter.

I gravitate toward helping people better understand the difficult and sometimes confusing parts of themselves in order to develop confidence and clarity and show up for themselves and their loved ones as they most desire and value. This can include guiding clients in processing complex trauma, depression, anxiety, drug and alcohol use, and other life issues and mental health challenges. It can also consist of couples or family work to resolve tension, disconnection, and other dissatisfying patterns. â€‹Whether you are dealing with lifelong struggles or new stressors on your own, in your romantic relationship, or within your family, I can assist you in making sense of your emotions and behaviors and help you work toward fulfillment.

Although I am new to providing therapy, I have been a teacher for over fifteen years, working with students from many different personal and cultural backgrounds at local community colleges and universities in Orange County. As an educator, I take a trauma-informed approach, and I have experience working with students with specific needs: neurodivergent identities, ADHD, dyslexia, formerly incarcerated, and veterans, among others. I am also a certified mindfulness instructor and incorporate this training into my therapeutic approach.

As a trainee, I am a volunteer and do not charge for my services. However, after fifteen free sessions, Daybreak requires a $10 fee for each subsequent session. Sessions with me are over Zoom for clients residing anywhere in California or in-person in Anaheim, California. You must be a California resident to receive services.
